C++ development environment - Suggestions?
One thing about Linux I'm coming to love is the ability to download a program as source and modify it. So far I've been modding by using gedit text editor and then simply re-making the source... Can anyone suugest a decent development environment in linux that will, for example, show a list of members when you type '.' or '->'? I've got a windows background so something close to Visual Studio in look and feel would be excellent.

Sorry, I can't help you regarding those specific features. But I can recommend emacs -- one of the most powerful editors around; It should be doable to implement the feature you request, but afaik no one has yet -- maybe this is your opportunity to learn elisp as well ;)

wish you the best of luck finding the tool that's right for you,

There are some IDE's out there like Kdevelop, Anjunta and Eclipse but as jonaskoelker said i don't know if any of them has that particular feature, however there is certainly lots of stuff you will probably like ...

Just to set things right ;) I sugest that you take a look at vim the best text editor available in the world and beyond ;)...
