can some one help me?
Doesnt Suse come wit a c compiler? do i get it from yast? or maybe theres a nice package that i can get?
Hi everybody, I seem to have the same problem as faheja (I also use Suse 10.0). I have tryed to use yast to install anything that sort of resembles gcc, make and compiler but nothing seems to change. Maybe I am not installing them the right way with yast or suse don't have the software on the install dvd? I keep getting the same error:
configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH
See `config.log' for more details.
Ok, I found a mirror site that had gcc-4.0.2_20050901-3.ppc.rpm. I tried to install it with kpackage and it said:
error: Failed dependencies:
glibc-devel is needed by gcc-4.0.2_20050901-3
I went to the same site and got glibc-devel and when I tried to install it with kpackage it said:
;echo RESULT=$?
package glibc-devel-2.3.5-40 is intended for a ppc architecture
Should I ditch the copy of Suse 10.0 that I got out of Linux-Magazine and download a copy from a mirror site?
