short answer:
man gcc
:-_)
gcc/g++ is the GNU compiler for C and C++
it's $> gcc helloworld.c and $> g++ helloworld.cc
The FAQ of comp.lang.c often includes matters pertaining
to g++ use as well. This form is too short, so bye.

C++ compiler for RH8.0

I have installed Red Hat 8.0 from CDs. I get the following from
$ cpp --version
cpp (GCC) 3.2 20020903

However, when I attempt to compile a sample program such as the following:

$cpp -o sum sum.cpp

I get this error message:

sum.cpp:2:22: iostream.h: No such file or directory
sum.cpp:3:20: stdlib.h: No such file or directory
sum.cpp:15:2: warning: no newline at end of file

So, after a very smooth standard install as a desktop, where are my header files located? Why weren't they installed? and finally,
how do I install them now?

I am not sure where to find them and how to install them.
