C++ compiler errors


Hi to all in Linuxquestions.org,

I have this problem when i run ./configure of a particular program installation
the following message is displayed:

loading cache ./config.cache

checking for working autoconf... found
checking for working automake-1.4... found
checking for working autoheader... found
checking for working makeinfo... found
checking for gcc... gcc
checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... yes
checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) is a cross-compiler... no
checking whether we are using GNU C... yes
checking whether gcc accepts -g... yes
checking how to run the C preprocessor... gcc -E
checking for c++... c++
checking whether the C++ compiler (c++ ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C++ compiler cannot create executables.

I dont know to make the C++ compiler to work.
Also where can i get a C++ cross compiler.
