Exclamation But what if...

In the slim chance That I dont Like Linux(which Im pretty sure I will), can I install Windows onto the computer that has Linux on it? or do I have to format my Hd and just install windows?(I know I can make it dual boot but Im only putin Linux on a brand new computer that doesnt even have an OS on it.

I have done it both ways. RH 7.3 on a PC with Win98 and Win98 on a PC with Slack8.1. You just have to be confident in what you are doing.

If I were you, I would dual boot anyway, so you can switc between both OSs if you have a problem with Linux. Chances are most newbies have trouble in the first couple of weeks and you want something to fall back on.

You definitely need a fallback plan, as the learning curve can sometimes be a little steep, and you want to have access to the net to be able to, eg, ask questions on LQ!

Either dualboot, or have another computer handy. If you do have another computer connected to the net available ( I would suggest in the same place as the Linux box), I would say go for it!
