Business Contact Management

I can't be the only one to need this type of contact management software, although google and searching have yet to find a solution.

I am currently using a MS Access database that I built for this problem, but would like to migrate completely to Linux. The biggest problem I'm having is contact management for Business, not for Personal. What I need is this:

A contact manager similar to Kontact or Evolution that is based upon a "Company" contact vs. a personal contact. In other words, I need to have my key be the company name, let's say "Bob's Business", then under this, I need company information such as address, phone numbers etc... as well as all compamy contacts with necessary info. fields, at times up to 12 per company. Plus I need about 25 customizable fields for each company. and... not that I'm greedy, but I need to be able to sync it to my palm.

As I said previously, I've made a database in Access that does everything I need, and syncs to my palm using "Smart List To Go" syncing software, but there is no sync that I've found so far that will sync with Open Office Base to my palm and the other major issue with using just a database is that every time an e-mail changes, I need to change the database and my e-mail software. Not that big of an issue, but I have 240 companies with many contacts in each and it can be quite time consuming keeping the records up to date.

So far I've tried Kontact, Evolution & Jpilot, but again, these are all based upon the "individual" contact versus the "company" contact. I've yet to find a way to customize either one to where I need it.

If anyone has any ideas or knows of software that will do what I need, I would be eternally grateful.

Many thanks in advance,

If you find anything that meets your criteria, let us know because I could use something similar. I've been using SugarCRM, and while that allows you to search contacts by company, I've never found a way to sync with a PDA.

Unfortunately, I think Linux is generally lacking in contact management software. Kontact seems to be about as advance as I've seen.
