Unhappy Burning question about nautilus...

I can't seem to get nautilus-cd-burner to create an ISO image, much less bun a cd.

First, some version info:

Redhat 9
nautilus-cd-burner-0.3.2-1.i386.rpm
kernel-2.4.20-8.athlon.rpm
SCSI cd burner at 0,1,0 (and, yes, it's really a SCSI burner attached to an Adaptec AHA 7850)

cdrecord -scanbus says:

Cdrecord 2.0 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2002 Jörg Schilling
Linux sg driver version: 3.1.24
Using libscg version 'schily-0.7'
scsibus0:
0,0,0 0) *
0,1,0 1) 'RICOH ' 'MP6200S ' '2.20' Removable CD-ROM
0,2,0 2) *
etc, etc, etc

Nautilus-cd-burner asks where to put the ISO image, then displays the "Writing CD" dialog box, but never proceeds any farther.

When I run nautilus-cd-burner from a terminal, it displays, " WARNING **: Couldn't read /proc/sys/dev/cdrom/info". That happens whether I'm looged in as root or not. There doesn't seem to be a /proc/sys/dev/cdrom/info when I look for it.

I've found various postings about modprobe and lsmod, but I can't imagine what I would do with either.

I have successfully burned a CD using mkisofs & cdrecord, so things aren't totally bollixed. (Except that the file names on the CD were significantly truncated, but I think I can puzzzle that one out thru some quality time with man. The file names in the ISO image, when I mounted it, were fine.)

Suggestions?

Thanks!
