Burning Problem
Hey,
I am having a problem burning a .cue / .bin disk. I have the .bin .cue file both in the same directory off my home folder, however when I try to burn i get the following error message: @tux1-wrkstn:~/Desktop/Torrents/Downloads$ sudo cdrecord dev=ATA:0,1,0 -speed 4 -v -dao -overburn -cuefile=file1.cue Password: TOC Type: 1 = CD-ROM scsidev: 'ATA:0,1,0' devname: 'ATA' scsibus: 0 target: 1 lun: 0 Linux sg driver version: 3.5.27 Wodim version: 1.1.2 SCSI buffer size: 64512 atapi: -1 Device type : Removable CD-ROM Version : 0 Response Format: 2 Capabilities : Vendor_info : 'HL-DT-ST' Identification : 'DVDRAM GMA-4020B' Revision : 'A108' Device seems to be: Generic mmc2 DVD-R/DVD-RW. I have both files in the same directory and have given them 777 permissions. It doesn't matter if i try with root access or sudo the command it just gives the same error. I also tried with Brasero however it just goes into the burning process fires it to 100% in a few seconds and doesn't write anything to the disk. Does anyone know why this might be ? |
Well that was odd.
Is the bin file corrupted? |
Does the filename match exactly? I hate to have to ask, but capitals DO matter in Linux.....
File1.BIN That needs to be the EXACT filename of the file. You may also want to look at the .cue file (it's a text file anyway) and make sure it's nor giving the path for the BIN file as something like C:\Documents and Settings\...... |
Yeah both files are exactly the same. I think the bin is just corrupted the file size is 767MB which is pretty large for a cd .bin/.cue
