Burning ISO to harddrive

I recently burned Rune Linux iso to a cd and it wouldn't let me ececute the setup.sh script. In the past when this happened, i just did a chmod 777 on the script file and it worked, however it's on a cd-rom this time and of course it's a read only file system. Is there a program that will allow me to burn an ISO image to the harddrive so that I could change the permissions on the script?

you can not change permissions at all.

is there anything I can do? I tried to run the script as root and it still says permission denied. Here's what it says:

[root@localhost cdrom]# ./setup.sh
bash: ./setup.sh: /bin/sh: bad interpreter: Permission denied

nevermind, i have to issue the command sh setup.sh
