building mingetty
Ok, so I need to make mingetty cause it does autologin, and Im having 2 troblesome problems one with the makefile varriables (cause on something this small theres no autoconfig script), and the other problem is with a patch I need.
1. for the Install option, one of the lines says
"install -m 0755 mingetty $(DESTDIR)$(SBINDIR)"
now the varriable SBINDIR=/sbin but what should I put for DESTDIR, cause that varriable is blank, one of the things that is throwing me off is the fact that the mingetty man page is installed like this:
"install -m 0644 mingetty.8 $(DESTDIR)$(MANDIR)"
MANDIR is set to "/usr/share/man/man8" so now im really confiused about the value of DESTDIR
2. theres a file "mingetty-0.9.4-autologin.patch" now since I want to use mingetty to do autologin, how do I apply this patch?
