I can't seem to do it. I've been trying for several hours. It seems the Ardour team is antipathic towards any request for help in this regard. I would really like to know how to compile Ardour 3 on Wheezy. I'd like to migrate my music production system from Windows+FLStudio to Wheezy+Ardour3, but the Ardour3 binaries cost money. If I want it free, I have to compile, myself.

Anyway, here's the problem I'm facing at the moment... When I cd into the source folder and use ./waf configure, waf tells me that boost libraries are out of date and that I need version 1.39 or higher. I have version 1.42. I don't know what to do with this.

Has anybody else successfully compiled Ardour3 on Wheezy?

Eh fekket. I'll just use MusE 2.0 and Audacity for linux audio editing, sequencing, and synthesis. The MusE project maintains proper open-source ideals, unlike Ardour.
