Building an e-commerce hosting service
 

I would like to build a e-commerce hosting (like host zen cart or os commerce) for my customer so I want to use a hosting panel.

I am trying out the cpanel that can easily to up the oscommerce and zen cart.

I have finished the installation and found that the panel cannot be support if I am behind a router or cannot NAT. However, my must use the router (or upgrade to some plan to low bandwidth plan) which I dont want.

and when I upgrade my plan of ISP I request one static IP, but I need to have 2 IP address for DNS which I did not expect to have. If I upgrade to have more IP, then I need to sign another new contract with ISP which I also dont want. (seem I need to upgrade anyway)

What should I do now to have a better solution or choice?

should I use the un support cpanel or find a new panel that work fine with me
any panel that can thru a router? Is that any panel I choose that also require 2 static IP?

Is plesk good and that can thru a router? what else I can choose that is best suit for me?

I have no idea what you're talking about here. But of course you can NAT from behind routers in the normal world, but maybe you're trying to do somethings bizzare that I'm not aware of.

for help pls see http://cpanel.org - they might know what you're talking about in this regard, and you can buy a license of cPanel there like everyone else that resells hosting services.

You'll also want to license fantastico deluxe so you can have your clients/subscribers perform one click installs of OScommerce and Zen Cart, among others.

Most VPS plans, like the ones available at http://web24.com.au are quite inexpensive, provide you with cPanel licensing, Fantastico Deluxe, as many IP addys as you want (They typically come with two or three to start, by default), and other management features like system reboot, security, auto-updates and patching, etc.

Again, I don't know why you're having issues - routers pass traffic across the entire net from one subnet to the next. You'll have to explain what you're talking about on that one. I've never had any problems in this regard.

I'm not a big Plesk fan, but it is good. Both cPanel and Plesk have their strengths and weaknesses. Again, to get support for cPanel specific issues, you might try joining the forums at http://cPanel.org as well as purchasing a server license for the product.

cpanel staff told me that they will not support for the NAT routing problem. That what I suffer about

There is no problem with 1:1 NAT - only with one to many (IP Masquerading)

I still don't know why you're having a problem with NATing. We don't have any problems with it at all. Simply perform 1:1 NAT and you shouldn't have a problem.

On the other hand, if what you're calling NAT is really IP Masquerading, (1 IP to many private, non-routable addresses), than that problem is obvious from the gate.

Each reseller account, or hosting account you set up with cPanel needs an IP Address, but each one of those accounts can have dozens, or hundreds of websites, since HTTP 2.0 accepts a request for virtual hosts shared by the same IP address in httpd.conf - There's no need to do IP based Virtual hosts like in the HTTP 1.0 days. We now have Named Virtual Host capabilities in Apache.
