Build 2.4 kernel module under 2.6

Hello.

I am trying to compile a 2.4 kernel module. I want to load the kernel module into a 2.4 system.

Is it possible to compile/build this module under a 2.6 kernel development system?

Can anyone point me towards any references on how to do this?

Thanks

Chapter 10 of the book below has a step-by-step for exactly what you are trying. Also, I think there is an updated volume but this edition should do the trick.

Linux Cookbook
By Carla Schroder
Publisher: O'Reilly
Pub Date: November 2004
ISBN: 0-596-00640-3
