While downloading files the speed is usually around 3.2KB/sec depending on the server.
In my case this is a good speed!
The problem is that when I try to browse and download at the same time, the browser takes extremely long to load pages or they won't load at all.
According to the Download manager the speed stays the same.
Tried using Konqueror to browse, same results.
When using XP Pro and IE6 on this system I can download and browse at the same time no problem.
This leads me to believe that there is something that can be adjusted in Mozilla or modem settings in RH8.
Any ideas for what to try?

maybe the downloads are just eating up your bandwidth and if you wait longer although that sucks, maybe the page will eventually load, as by what your saying, your pages load fine when not downloading, so this could be the issue.
