Post Browser trouble?

Hi, I have a question, I have a Links Browser in my Knoppix and I downloaded an then installed Firebird, but when I restarted the PC I can see that Firebird was gone, and now I need to download it again. In the Links browser when I press a link in some web with javascript nothing happens. What could be the problem?, What do I need to do instead to download the Firebird everytime that I reboot the PC?

When you install something in Knoppix running from CD, it will 'install' things on a ram disk, i.e. not on the harddrive - and also not on the CD obviously - and that's you you lose it after quitting knoppix.
