Hi, it looks like my DEB package system in Knoppix (or the apt-get part of it anyway) is competely ruined.
When I try to apt-get install something, it shows the following error messages:
Quote:
root@knoppman:/home/digiplaya# apt-get install gdm
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
esound: Depends: esound-common (>= 0.2.36-1) but 0.2.35-2.1 is to be installed
gdm: Depends: libselinux1 (>= 1.18) but it is not going to be installed
libesd0: Depends: esound-common (>= 0.2.36-1) but 0.2.35-2.1 is to be installed
libesd0-dev: Depends: esound-common (>= 0.2.36-1) but 0.2.35-2.1 is to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

I've already done the "apt-get -f install", but that produces even
more messages.
Anyone know how to rectify this?
thanx
Tom
