Hi everyone,

I've been trying to install and use the bootsplash utility and this involves patching the kernel, which I've already done. However, i can't find the option "Console drivers ---> Frame-buffer support ---> [ ] Use splash screen instead of boot logo". I need to enable this option.

I did not get any errors from patching, and I'm pretty sure I used the correct patch for my kernel version (2.4.26, the stock version for slackware 10).

Is there something wrong with my kernel or does that option just doesn't really come with the version I'm using?

Heya, I have the same problem, and I have tried to search around the internet and found some manuals for installing bootsplash(and framebuffer), and it said that you have to install a patch named patch-2.4.26-lck1, then you install the bootsplash patch.. I tried it,and it didn't work, but if you figure out something that makes it work please reply on this topic then Thanks
