bootloader failed
well i installed suse 9.1 3 weeks ago. however have not been able to boot into windows 2000
i need to fix that because there is some windows stuff i use, more so until i can get better ATI drivers.
ok ok, the hardware information you need
my problem may be that before i updated i had a 20GB and a 40GB drive, 40GB being linux and 20 being windows. windows was master, so the bootloader would be on it. i then bought a 120GB drive for the update. i then made it master and the 20 slave. i installed linux next. it does detect windows but will not boot
i should mention before i did the swap i cleared out lilo and such and used windows only, i didnt have a linux distro for about a week.
things i normaly would do.
run windows repair boot and MBR, then boot from a linux rescue floppy and setup lilo/grub. however now i cant make a rescue floppy!! i get the an error "image could not be found on installation medium"
i really dont want to start from scratch, but i highly dout i need to.
