booting to browser

Good day,

I am trying to setup Linux so when usera logs in Firefox is automatically started (full screen) and access is denied to all other applications and desktop functions.

I tried setting Firefox as the users shell and this partially works. The browser is not full screen and some of the drop downs do not work.

Currently I am using Gnome as the Windows Manager.

i'd suggest looking at existing kiosk based guides and mozilla plugins....

the Kiosk HOWTO is pretty old now, but the theory is largely solid, so worth looking at.
