Booting problem

Hi all,

Whenever i boot my system, after the initialization part when the login screen has to come my screen goes blank for say 15 seconds and the following message occurs. Could someone please help me out.

" The display server has been sjutdown about 6 times in the last 90 seconds, it is likely that something bad is going on. I will wait for 2 minutes before trying again on display :0."

Thank You
Abhishek Samuel

Your problem is that your xserver is not configured correctly. It could be a million different things, trying to load a display driver that isn't there, bad mode lines for your monitor, ect. ect. Check the xserver log (usually in /var/log) for more information about what is wrong.
