I have problem with system commander 7 i don´t know why it refuse to load the red hat..........system commander recognized the linux partition but when i click on it say that "the partition appears to have a defective boot record or an OS has not been installed yet. the normal boot signature is missing " what can i do to make it work with this commander???

I think you can install lilo to the first section of the hard drive, or partition in question. During the RH install, this should be on of your choices. Not MBR, but the first section of the drive. Then when sys command selects linux, lilo would pop up, and then select RH.

well i didnt put the lilo in the MBR i put it in the partition where is linux red hat hat now...... i dont know why system commander is not launching the lilo if it is in the hdb6 of linux

Lilo, but it's personal preference. Has nothing to do with anything else really. Both work, and work well for pretty much anything, I just understand the layout of LILO a little better.

Virussx, I believe you need to install it to the beginning portion of the physical drive, not to the first part of the partition. I will read up on that, and also check into system commander to see if there is something special.
