Booting from network
Hello everyone,
Can someone help me out a bit... my desktop computer is making noice, so I want to remove the moving parts... so I want to boot from my local network... I have already one linux system running 24 hours a day, so I would like to use this as a source and storage space for all my files. But I am using Slackware on it, and I cant seem to find a version of mknbi that will work on it. It's probably something I did wrong, since some of the manuals I've read tell me about a program called mknbi-linux, but I cant find it... I was hoping that someone could help me in the right direcion... Regards, Frayja |
Try to use the pxp booting... (if your bios supports and if you have the pxe enable nic and proper boot rom). Try to search in google and you'll get a lot. Try search with " pxp booting using linux "
