bootable HDD partitioner on CD???

hello, everyone!

I've just descimated the windows partition on my computer and i need to repartition the drive here's a little mental picture of my setup ATM:

Drive/Part Size Used Free Mount
HDA: Maxtor 40 GB 98.5% 589.9 MB /mnt/C
HDB: WDC 30 GB ------------------------
HDB1: 24 GB 76% 5.7 GB /mnt/D
HDB2: 98.7 MB 19.1% 80 MB /boot
HDB3: 4.4 GB 73% 1.2 GB /
what i want to do is kill HDB1 and resize HDB3 with enough space left over for a 5GB windows partition. will disk druid (on the redhat install cd) let me do this??

No you'll need to use parted. You can use linux rescue mode to get a bash prompt with no HDD filesystems mounted.

Just reboot with CD1 on the drive and type:
linux rescue

at the boot prompt.
