Boot w/ grub
 

Hi All,

Gotta a strange problem. I have 2 HDDs. Primary runs WinXP secondary Linux. Due to the reason that the drives are noisy I wanted to unplug the power cord of the Linux HDD. But then grub freezes during the boot and I cannot start WinXP.
Any solution to come over this?

comment out the linux boot option from grub? then remove the cabel?

And what will happen when I plug back? I remove the comment? Unplug two secs (rack) uncomment two minutes? Sorry this is not a real solution.
Honestly I do not understand why grub has to check the exist of the OS before choosing it to start...
