Boot Logo
Has anyone changed the default boot up screen and logo in Linux? I am looking for tips and such.

Hi there,

and please, since you're an LQ-oldtimer,
utilize the search :} ... took me 5 seconds
to find a useful reference for this question
on the board...

Try this ... one of the top 10
hits (at the time I was typing this) has the
subject framebuffer pic, and leads you
to respective information.

I have been considering installing Gentoo. It looks like a distro were the user has significantly more control over what is installed and the compilation options.

THanks guys
