Post Boot Disk

How do I make a boot disk to get my linux disk to work.

A little more information might help. If you installed Linux from a CD, you might be able to use the "rescue" feature from the cd to load your system. tomsrtbt might help too. If you mean that you need a disk to start your cdrom drive, there should be instructions with your distributions. These are just a couple of common cases, more information on your system would help alot.

you could try this: # dd if=/boot/<kernel-name> of=/dev/fd0
This wil only work if your kernel is smaller than 1.4MB

Or maybe the mkboot command

try the command 'mkbootdisk'. for this u'll need ur kernel version that u can get it by 'uname -sr' (without quotes)...

hope tis solves ur problem...
