boosplash issue kernel 2.6.10?

Hi,

distro: SuSE 9.0 Professional
running kernel: 2.610

Is it just me or there's a problem with the kernel 2.6.10 and bootsplash?
It was working fine before the upgrade from 2.4.21.

I made sure I said Y to all the proper bootsplash modules entries in the kernel including the following:

[code]
Device Drivers ---> Graphics support --->[*] Support for frame buffer devices <*> VESA VGA graphics support VESA driver type (vesafb-tng) ---> (1024x768@60) VESA default mode[*] Support for the framebuffer splash Console display driver support --->[*] Video mode selection support <*> Framebuffer Console support Device Drivers ---> Block devices ---> <*> RAM disk support (4096) Default RAM disk size (kbytes)[*] Initial RAM disk (initrd) support

Device Drivers ---> Input Device Support --->[*] Event Device

[/code/

I even tried chaging the resolution of my video card to for example, 1024X768 and so on.

Any ideas?

Thanks, randomx
