Arrow Book reader software..

Hello!
I'm a big book lover so I read a lot...on windows i used Alreader for it's incredible handyness & it had a smooth lite brown background color..
so it was easier for my eyes to read books in rtf,txt & so on formats instead of the default white background which is very annoying...
Can you please sujest me a software like that for linux?
Thanks...

There are many readers available. Rtf and txt will be opened by ALL of them.

If you are just looking at plain text files, how about just using "less" in a terminal? Or if you want to go to the other extreme you could try something like calibre.

You can change the background color in FBreader.

Go to Preferences-->Colors and select "Background" in the "Color for" dialog.
