BOINC in Linux (Debian/Etch)


Hi:

I want to join the program BOINC.

Can BOINC run on text mode in background/as daemon?

What should I do in Debian/Etch?
Can I install the package by "apt-get install ???"?

Anyone, whose is running the BOINC in Linux, pls. share
your experience.

If know nothing about BOINC, pls go to http://boinc.berkeley.edu/projects.php
It's very meanful.

I don't know if there's a package for debian, but if there isn't you can download and install BOINC from here.

It should be possible get it to work as a daemon, but I haven't used a debian-based distro for a while and probably couldn't give good directions for how to do so. I've also seen people setup this to run in the background using cron
