Bodhi Creen setup Script

Hi
I have written a shell script to set up my monitors on my PC that is running Bodhi. The script works fine and configures my 2 monitors.

I would like the script to run at statup.

I have put the script into init.d folder and given it exacutable permissions and created a symbolic link in RC3.d. the link is called S99screen.

When it tries to run it errors and states it can not run. After the pc has started up I go into RC3.d and double click the link and the script runs fine and sets up the monitors

Script
#! /bin/sh
xrandr --output VGA-1 --mode 1920x1080 --pos 0x0 --rotate normal
xrandr --output TV-1 --off
xrandr --output DVI-I-1 --mode 1280x1024 --pos 0x0 --rotate normal

exit 0
I am new to linux and any help would be appriciated

The problem is that the init scripts don't have access to X services.
Where to run your script can depend on when you want it run - and what display manager. See here for some of the gory details.

Last I looked at bodhi it used E17, so this wiki entry should still be valid.
