Bluefish version 2 - has anyone loaded this successfully?

Bluefish version 1.0.7 is in the repositories - but I want to try version 2, which seems much better according to the website.

Has anyone succeeded in loading this? I have tried following the instructions in and I get errors in the "make".

It looks like you are using Ubuntu in your profile icons. I'm using karmic and followed these instructions to install by package rather than compiling.

I still have "jaunty" in the line for sources.list. I have not changed it to karmic yet, but it still seems to work. I'm talking about this line in sources.list given on the above page:

deb jaunty main restricted universe multiverse
Edit: I see that your profile says you have Ubuntu 8.04. If you still have that version, you will need to use other instructions:
