Question Bluefish on SuSE9.1

I am new to Linux. Been an experience so far. Mostly enjoyable like a poke in the eye with a stick, but i can deal with most things. Learned everything on computer by trial and error, so now its time to learn Linux.

I am trying to install Bluefish on my computer. I am using SuSE9.1.

In Terminal with su, i am typing the

rpm -iv packagename.rpm

But this this the error i am getting.

error: Failed dependencies:
libaspell.so.15 is needed by bluefish-0.12-100.SuSE.ulb.1

So how do i fix this.

Would like to complete my site started with CoffeeCup in Windoze.

Thanks

Simple way:
go to "yast" - software install - search "bluefish" - install
(yast will resolve dependencies for you)

Hard way:
find the needed .rpms by hand - libaspell.so.15 is in the aspell.rpm package

Well just tried both ways.

No Luck.

Yast did not find bluefish.

Nothing on the CD for aspell.rpm

I think i have to look more into Yast

.

check out apt-get for suse:

http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm/

i use it, and love it. it handles all the dependencies for you...once you have it set up, install synaptic, a gui that makes it even easier.

Well Yast just died out on me.

Everytime i try to launch it, comes up on the screen for a few seconds then gone.

I changed the source of installation.

How do i reset to the original?

As for apt4rpm, i could not get it to install. Had whole bunch of dependency issues.

This good learning experience.

Thanks
