My only suggestion is that you add the information to the ticket that enabling or disabling line numbers in the preferences makes no change to the situation. The more information the better.

Tickets sometimes take a while to be replied to, depending on the development team. You might be best also to try contacting the team through their mailing list or on Facebook. More direct that way.

Per your suggestion, I've added more info. I also added the results of starting from CLI. Throws several gtk errors. I'll try contacting them through the mailing list or FB as well.
