Blog Software with comments?

Hey all,

I want to make my site a bit more interactive and would like to add some blog-type software so that viewers can leave comments on the stories that I post. I'm looking for something pretty simple and fast-loading. That is, I don't want to use slashcode or have it like fark. Instead, I like the comment options at these sites:

www.crooksandliars.com
or
www.americablog.com

They both use Haloscan I believe, but it isn't open source so I won't touch it.

Any ideas?

http://sourceforge.net/projects/sphpblog/ has comments and doesn't require any database either. Only needs webserver and php.

Excellent. Thanks!

Mambo looks really nice, but I also dig how simplistic the sphpblog is.

I've searched a log of different blog software packages, and I've found WordPress (www.wordpress.org) to be be far the best.

I power 2 sites with it and love it.
