Blender2.57 can't detect Ribmosaic

I'm trying to make Ribmosaic to work under Blender2.57 built by me. I copied render_ribmosaic folder from ribmosaic(downloaded file) to 2.57/scripts/addons folder exactly what this following website said to do:
http://wiki.aqsis.org/guide/ribmosaic_install

But I can't see the enable Ribmosaic option on Blender's system preference.

I really like to use ribmosaic because of it's affiliation with Renderman. But failing to do that. What am I missing?

Can anyone kindly help me find the solution?

Note:I downloaded ribmosaic from this website
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ribmosaic/develop

right at the moment i can not install it to check 2.56 is STILL needed by me

but

i have seen other scripts fail .
Most of the time there is an error in the python header in the script
the location is wrong , this has changed a few times since 2.49b and the early 2.5?

that and the file permissions check to see if they are right in the hard link in your home folder to the add on folder in the system
the folder ~/.blender is a link to /usr/lib64/blender/.blender/2.56/scripts ( at least on my system )
then from blender run the script import

Thank you John VV for your reply. I fixed the problem by downloading Ribmosaic from this location:

The problem was I was downloading from the wrong website. Again thank you.
