Blank Konsole


When i bring up konsole, as in alt+F2 then type 'konsole' it come up but the terminal is completely blank, there isn't a username or anything and i can't type any commands, and no it's not a color issue, anyone have a clue?

hmmm, what do you see when you boot the machine? do you see messages or nothing? what distribution are you using and what version of the kernel are you using, a default install kernel, or a custom compiled kernel? in short more details are needed.
