blank graphics window when connecting through "ssh -X"

Hi,
I am using Visit, a VTK based utility to plot data. I compiled and installed it both in my local machine as well as the cluster. In my local machine, all the program features work. However, when I connect to the cluster through "ssh -X cluster" and launch the program, the display window is blank. The program says that it uses indirect rendering. But, still, the graphics display is blank. It doesnt even repaint the window. The GUI, however still functions well, and I can even export the image to a file. But, cant see it in the window.

Can anyone help me out to solve this problem...

Shyam

Why would you think that Visit is able to re-direct an X window to your client? Sounds like Visit is a GUI app that runs on X. First sort out X redirects from the cluster and then worry about Visit. ssh -X will only work the way you want if the server you are connecting to can serve you an X window. Maybe Gnome's remote login GUI would be better suited to your needs?
