Blank disc status for CD-ROM (udiskie)?
I have a project where, on CentOS/RHEL6, I checked the cd-rom to ensure a blank disc was inserted in the CD-ROM tray. I used 'udisks --show-info /dev/sr0' to accomplish this.
Since CentOS7 has a front-end called udiskie, I cannot get that same information unless I use the "monitor" option to udiskie. This option however does not end or return a status. You must Cntl-C out to quit it, but you can clearly see the message that a blank disc was inserted. How can I obtain the correct "blank" status on CentOS7? I've tried many of the other options using udiskie and udisks itself does not seem to be available at the command line. Thanks, |
Hi,
There should be a dvd+rw-tools package available, which contains the "dvd+rw-mediainfo" command. I've used this in the past, by looking at the media type in its output. It might provide what you are looking for. |
