Blacklisting using 'blacklist' & 'install' is not working on RHEL 6.7 clone.

Hey All,

I'm running Scientific Linux 6.7 (Same as CentOS 6.7 / RHEL 6.7 ).

Trying to unload a few modules:

PHP Code:
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
# Blacklist Default Qlogic Drivers.
blacklist qla2xxx
blacklist scsi_transport_fc
blacklist scsi_tgt

install qla2xxx
/bin/false
install scsi_transport_fc
/bin/false
install scsi_tgt
/bin/false
But they always come back started up. Been trying goggle for a couple of days. No luck. Finding alot of pages to suggest the above but none about what else I can try.

Any other suggestions to try short of removing them from the actual modules folder in the kernel? I'm listing the scsi_transport_fc and scsi_tgt since lsmod indicated they are dependencies that could be loading the qla2xxx driver.

Thanks,
DH

It could be loaded at boot from initrd/initramfs, seems like you should rebuild initrd image.

Yep, that did the trick:

dracut -f -v

Thank you.

Cheers,
