BlackBox install problem[Solved]


Hi
I'm not too sure if this should be here but anyways. I installed Blackbox and when I try to run it by typing blackbox in the console it gives me:

bt:: Display: Failed to open display ''

and thats it.....
any ideas??

you can't start it like that. Your Xserver needs to be running. I assume you don't have a .xinitrc file so do this from a console in your home directory.

echo blackbox >> .xinitrc && cat .xinitrc

If the output you get says blackbox after that then type:

startx

Should start blackbox for ya.
