Bittorrent Problem

Hi guys,
I think download all of the stuff that is required for bittorrent to run. But for some reason i still can't run bittorrent. I used the non-GUI method, but everytime I type in "btdownloadgui.py <battlefield 1942>.torrent" it give me an error saying "the file doesn't exists.

Can anyone help me fix this. Or give me a step-by-step process of setting up this program.

Well... just so you know, btdownloadgui IS the GUI version, sure you have to launch it in the commandline but it will open up a GUI for ya. Anyways if you want command line, you're looking for btdownloadcurses.py. Also are you sure you are putting the full path for the file? For example if you are in the BT directory you should type:

$ btdownloadcurses.py ~/path/to/torrents/battlefield1942.torrent

My guess is, you aren't providing the full path so there isn't that file in the current directory. You could always just have your browser launch btdownloadgui when it downloads a .torrent file.

i tried to launch the GUI through the browser but it doesn't work. When I click on a torrent file it pops-up the download box and when I press ok to download, it doesn't do anything. I don't see the GUI downloading the file.

Try using the terminal [headless] version - I know that works, I've used it.
