Question Bittorrent only works as root

I am a big fan of the python family of Bittorrent (bt*.py)
Mainly because I can SSH into my shell and begin a download from ANYWHERE.

However I am having an issue. An issue that didn't exist before, and I did not consciously make changes that could have caused such an impact.

So... when starting bt*.py (downloadcurse/launchmanycurses/downloadheadless/etc), the download starts... however, after grabbing a bit of a file (I can't remember if it was 3MB or 3KB), it will stop. And not download anymore. The client does not error out, it simply stops any download progress and stays stuck at that which it has already downloaded.

However, this does not the case when logged in as root. When logged in as root, all functions as it should, normal. This was not the case before with non-root users (I have only one non-root user, so no, I have not tried creating another user and replicating the problem (I really want to "fix" this user ID)).

Any suggesstions???

Not to be rude, but....
Azerus pushers, please don't bother (I've used it before, it's fine, I'm not interested in changing clients at all )

if it works with root, maybe you don't have write permissions for the dir the client is trying to write to.

if you type
Code:
ls -l /path/to/bt*.py
you should get something like:
Code:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 3632 May 26 10:21 bt*.py
the first root in the example is the owner and the second one in bold is the group that has access. Try adding yourself to that group with:
Code:
adduser lolobo root
obviously, substitute root with the group name you got from ls -l
