I have a .torrent file that will download a folder with 10 files inside. But I just want to download some files only. Not all the 10 files. So do anyone know how to edit the .torrent (metainfo I think ...) file so I can download just the files that I want ???
I tried tools at this page : http://gemini777.no-ip.com//bittorrent-tools.htm
but I can just modify the url inside the torrent.

Try putting the files you already have into that folder, Bittorrent will see them and download only the ones you need. Make sure they're named properly.

I can't be positive, but I remember needing to download wxPython (a python version of wxWindows/Widgets).
http://www.wxpython.org/ as well as http://www.wxwindows.org
This is for the standard bittorrent client. Not positive, but pretty.

The problem is that I have already some files but am not sure that they are the same in the torrent. I just want want to modify the .torrent file. As I see, in the torrent file there are : the url to the tracker and files that will be downloaded. But .torrent is not a text file so we have to modify with a tool but I didn't found it yet.....

bittornado linux
SAME......
Tried the mailcap edit, tried everything...ahhhrrrrrrr
Tried bittornado, azareus.
Bittorrent works though, but cant configure it like bittornado and abc.
I click on the bittorrent link and it ask's "save file as" so I ask it to open file with Bittorrent (or abc)
and bittornado starts to open up at the bottom of the screen and then does nothing, goes away, doesn't load up the bittornado window.....
I've tried to open a bittorrent file with bittornado and it wont load up, just starts to load and then goes away.
This also happened when I tried to run games without the correct opengl drivers, maybe it is something similar like the correct drivers or something arn't available for mandrake 10 and bittornado.
Searched the internet and seems others are having this problem with mandrake 10.
I left windows because of these type of problems, just to find them on linux with the first program i install, and no help from the linux community yet......holding me breath though.
