bitchx resume?


ive been using bitchx for irc, i cant use gui also
when downloading by dcc , it seems resume never works, a new file is made everytime prefixed by a random number....anything im missing?
and yes, i have autoresume on and autorename off

what other clients can i use(without X)?

irssi (apt-get install irssi-text). Also, centericq speaks IRC, but I really didn't like the way it worked.

So how is BitchX considered a game? Are you running BitchX in an Xterm or from an actual virtual console?

this sux
dcc resume is working fine with irsii but only bitchx has /detach
boohoo

any other clients available that supoprt detach?

I don't know what /detach is supposed to do, but if it does what I think it does, you can achieve the same by running irssi inside screen(1) and detaching screen.
