bitchx question

ok, here's the problem.. i've updated bitchx to the newest cvs version - c20, after i download it/update.. ./configure, and during 'make' i always get this error:

/tmp/cc07aloN.s: Assembler messages:
/tmp/cc07aloN.s:2442: Error: invalid sections for operation on `L0' and `.LCFI68'
/tmp/cc07aloN.s:2448: Error: invalid sections for operation on
`.LCFI71' and `L0'
make[1]: *** [whowas.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/BitchX/source'
make: *** [BitchX] Error 2

.. then it just stops.. note also, where "whowas" is, the file will tend to change, when i keep running 'make'.. has anyone had this problem before? this is just annoying me, trying to figure it out.. hehe, thanks.
