Lightbulb BitchX

Where can I download BitchX from?

I've searched google and it says www.bitchx.org but when I try and view this in mozilla and in other browsers I get messages like "The connection was refused when attempting to connect www.bitchx.org."

I am getting the same error here at work and at home thru ssh, but I can't be for sure if my work is blocking such sites with bitch in the site name.

Have you tried searching for "bitchx mirrors" on google? I came up with this site that seems to have bitchx available for download, but I'm not sure of the actual latest version.

http://ftp.us.sinuspl.net/pub/mirror.../cvs-binaries/

There are also many alternative IRC clients you can use, have you tried any of the others like epic, X-Chat, etc?

You can find it like most rpms on www.rpmfind.net

http://www.rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2htm...p?query=bitchx

also the sites that have something to do with it are there.

good luck

Royss

(p.s. use IRSSI )

Thanks I will try some of the mirrors. I've tried xchat and it is good but I've been told that I must try BitchX and I've read some reviews and it looks very good. But I'll try the alternatives too.

Thanks everyone.

The site works now. I'm learning to like terminal based programs but GUI is much easier for a newbie like me.
