Biotech Data Mining

Hi All,

I do most of my work related to the Biotech Industry. There's a huge amount of time, energy and efforts dedicated to pulling things together outside of the usual Google. In the past there were a bunch of sites out there, but most had requested some type of enormous fee.

Anybody doing data mining at a profesional level out there?

Perhaps my thread should be moved to another Forum? I'm only asking so that I don't double post here.

What I'm looking to do is not do Enterprise Data-Minng, but personal data collection. I'd bought some MS compatable stuff that allowed me to collect e-mail addresses so I'm looking for something in the Linux Universe that let's me define my terms and then brings everything back to me.

If you want to attract the attention of a mod to have your thread moved, the best way is to click the "report this thread to a moderator" button and put your request for a move there. With the vast number of threads on this site, we are unlikely to see it if it's buried in a thread.

Moved to software.
