Bios Update using linux????

i am wondering if there isn't the possibility to use linux (live linux e.g. knoppix) to perfom a bios update cause i really hate using those micrsoft windows 98 bootdisk spread with i/o errors.

Any suggestions welcome

Kind of...
But it really depends on your motherboard/BIOS. I update my BIOS using a boot CD from your motherboard man. (ASUS).

It's a way to update without using any OS really, just the tools from the Man.

Cool
