Bind server Not running

I am trying to setup a bind server to use it as main dns server for my lan. I have configured it using https://www.tecmint.com/install-bind...ver-on-rhel-8/

all syntax is ok. netstat -tulnp | grep "named" is giving me this output

tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:953 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 21243/named
tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:53 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 21243/named
tcp6 0 0 ::1:953 :::* LISTEN 21243/named
tcp6 0 0 ::1:53 :::* LISTEN 21243/named

nslookup can't find my server. What I am doing wrong? Or how can i further look into what may be the issue. Can anybody point me to the solution.

From the above, looks like named is not listening on (the default) UDP port 53
nslookup and the other dns tools use the UDP protocol in order to do queries

So review your bind configuration and take a look at named logs for hints
