binary install issues


hi, i am quite new to the linux OS.I won't say i'm much of a greenhorn.I logged in as root to install realplayer but i keep getting this as whenever i try to run the binary

bash: ./realplay-10.0.8.805-linux-2.2-libc6-gcc32-i586.bin: Permission denied
please how do i get past this?

Either run:
Code:
sh realplay-10.0.8.805-linux-2.2-libc6-gcc32-i586.bin
or
Code:
chmod +x realplay-10.0.8.805-linux-2.2-libc6-gcc32-i586.bin
./realplay-10.0.8.805-linux-2.2-libc6-gcc32-i586.bin
